for his 8th birthday, I bought my son his first .22. Raise real men, not girlie boys.

Note: my reference to girlie-boys is the fact that so many Canadians seem to be raising kids without any real world skills. I know people who think it’s terrible to let my kids pocket their knives even while camping. People automatically associate marksmanship and gun interest with violence and want to raise kids in a digital, sterile environment where kids all sit passively and do only calm and ‘nice’ activities. More so for boys than girls. Boys are now frowned upon for being rough and tumbly. It’s sad. Also, my daughter is 4 and has shot my 12ga with help from me. I agree, both young boys and girls need to know how to safely and enjoyably use firearms. :)
